Wealthy Irish people have the least diversified portfolio of assets than their counterparts in any of the other 17 countries surveyed as part of Barclay’s Wealth Insights report.

A new report by Barclays assessing buying and selling of companies across Ireland and Britain has found that Ireland was the only country where on average businesses experienced a loss.

Ireland’s millionaires like to keep 10% of their personal wealth in assets such as fine art, precious jewellery, and antique furniture, according to the latest report in the Wealth Insights series from Barclays.

MOODY’S rating agency said its Aa1 rating it put on Government bonds in July has moved to “negative” in the meantime.
