The adult children of solicitor Brian O’Donnell have been told by the Supreme Court they must leave their Co Dublin luxury home next month so it may be taken over by a bank-appointed receiver.

Bank of Ireland said no client funds have been impacted by an internal inquiry in its private banking division.

Bank of Ireland’s Newgrange equity fund, which was put together in mid-Nov 2006, is currently -5.5% under water, although there has been a significant recovery in value since the low in stock markets in early 2009, said the bank.
