A man has been arrested after he repeatedly called US police to ask for a lift home.

An Armagh man who claimed he was a terrorist on board a transatlantic flight will be deported from America, US authorities said today.

A trans-Atlantic flight from Manchester, England, was diverted to the Bangor International Airport today, officials said.

Best-selling US author Stephen King was expected to remain in a Maine hospital for several days as he recovers from pneumonia, a spokesman said.
