Members of the emergency services, who came to the rescue of scores of people in Bandon twice last December, were hailed as heroes at the annual West Cork Community Awards on Friday night.

THERE will be plenty of tears and celebrations in Bandon tonight, no matter what the outcome of a unique Munster Senior Schoolgirls Cup final at Garryduff this afternoon (2.30pm).
