LIFE has returned to normal for communities on both sides of the River Brick in north Kerry with the opening of a new €1.25 million bridge over the river.

A 30-YEAR campaign to remove one of the country’s notorious traffic bottlenecks ended yesterday with the official opening of a €35 million bypass in Castleisland, Co Kerry.

THE €34 million Castleisland bypass will be officially opened on Friday next by Defence Minister Tony Killeen.
