BAN ARD Cash and Carry Ltd was wound up by Ms Justice Laffoy in the High Court yesterday when she was told that the petitioning company together with 10 other companies were owed €1.9 million.

Wholesale, headquartered in Ennis, has taken over the operating and existing business of the Bán Árd cash and carry business in Cork and will trade under the Mangan name.

THE future of Bán Árd Food and Retail Services hung in the balance last night with more that 60 workers fearing for their jobs.
