Insurance giant Aviva is considering the sale of the RAC breakdown business it acquired for £1.2bn (€1.4bn) in the UK six years ago, it was reported today.

Insurer Aviva today announced the sale of its RAC Auto Windscreens business under plans to focus on its core operations.

The FTSE-100 Index has surged ahead 51 points - though not many shares are changing hands.
