The Office of Public Works (OPW) has again ruled out the construction of a downstream tidal barrier to protect Cork City from flood risk, saying that walls will be required.  

A flood prevention workshop for businesses takes place in Cork tomorrow ahead of a public consultation later this month on a new flood defence system for the city.
