IN an unprecedented move, the British Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has acted to reverse the €88.7 million off-loading by Independent News & Media of its regional titles in the London area.

There was plenty of activity on the Irish stock exchange today with movement among mineral shares.

Independent News and Media has sold 23 of its London regional newspaper operations to Archant Regional Limited for £62.0m (€88.7m).
