UN judges in The Hague have ordered a retrial for two Serbs who were acquitted in 2013 of setting up and arming paramilitary gangs that committed atrocities during the 1990s Balkan wars.

War-time Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic is requesting that the UN Security Council pass a resolution exempting him from trial at the UN's Yugoslav war crimes tribunal, insisting he was promised immunity by an American envoy.
