Shares in Dublin continued to claw back some of the recent heavy losses suffered in line with trends across European and US markets. The Iseq jumped 66.4 points to 3926.7.

European markets continued to rally on the back of positive sentiment on the strength of the German economy.

The Iseq Index continued to gain ground despite data released which showed employment levels are continuing to decline, falling a further 0.8% quarter-on-quarter on a seasonally adjusted basis in Q2. The Irish Exchange climbed 41.4 points to 3323.0.
