Striking miners killed one man by setting him on fire, South African police say.

Anglo American Platinum has reportedly fired 12,000 striking South African miners for staging an unlawful strike.

Two people have died after clashes between police and striking miners in South Africa, including a local councillor who was apparently an innocent bystander.
