GILEAD Sciences yesterday announced that Gilead Sciences Limited, a wholly-owned Irish subsidiary, has completed its acquisition of Cork- based Nycomed Limited, formerly known as Altana Pharma Limited.

A reported 150 jobs are to be created in the pharmaceutical sector in Cork over the next year with the construction of a €70m facility.
