Aviation executives are increasingly worried that a widening split between the US and Europe will extend the grounding of Boeing’s 737-Max jet, sowing confusion and fear as regulators work to approve the resumption of commercial flights after two deadly crashes.

Avolon Holdings, the Dublin-headquartered aircraft lessor backed by CVC Capital Partners, Cinven and Oak Hill Capital Partners, declined on its trading debut yesterday after raising $273 million (€218.8m) in a US initial public offering — the largest capital raising by an Irish company in the last seven years.

Irish-based aircraft leasing company Avolon expects its initial public offering to be priced at between $21 and $23 per common share.

SHANNON-BASED aircraft less or firm, Genesis Lease has confirmed it is in merger talks with a firmbelieved to be AerCap Holdings.
