THE Port of Cork is demanding a €60 million to €65m relocation package to leave the city centre quays to enable the €2 billion-plus city council-backed development of the docklands to proceed.

PUBLIC access to prime city-centre, quayside land will be maintained despite Port of Cork moves to develop the area, the city manager has assured.
