ADI ROCHE, founder of the charity, Chernobyl Children International, is to be given the Freedom of Cork.

Two directors at Adi Roche’s Chernobyl Children’s charity have dipped into their own pockets to shore up the charity’s finances by giving it €319,000.

Chernobyl Children International, the charity that has helped more than 22,000 Ukrainian children affected by the nuclear disaster, has suffered its largest ever loss in its 21-year history.
