MICHEL PLATINI yesterday told the European parliament how UEFA plan to address two issues which he believes are blighting football — the frivolous spending of clubs and the exploitation of young players.

Michel Platini today warned “the values that football represents are in danger” and told the European parliament in Brussels that UEFA are considering enforcing a cap on the expenditure of clubs.
