THE ISEQ index progressed 15.97 points to end the day at 2,835.41 yesterday.

THE ISEQ index raced ahead yesterday, bucking the mainstream European trend as investors moved in after the market was closed for the bank holiday on Monday. The index closed up 95.51 points at 2,818.03.

THE ISEQ index had another minor gain yesterday closing up 7.43 points at 2,472.58.

THE ISEQ index began the week on a positive note in line with global markets and after China announced an economic stimulus package worth around €460bn. The Irish share index closed up 26.71 points at 2,853.45.

THE ISEQ Index rebounded from some heavy losses recently with the financials the major catalyst for the drive. The Dublin market jumped 111.15 points to 8,737.45.
