Former Rehab chiefs executive Frank Flannery and Angela Kerins have thrown down the gauntlet to the Dáil’s Public Accounts Committee after accusing members of "a gross abuse" of their position and knowingly acting outside the law — warning there will be "grave consequences" if the inquiry continues.

There will be “no moving on” from the crisis engulfing the charity sector unless two former bosses of Rehab come forward and “explain themselves”, according to the chairman of the Dáil’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) John McGuinness.
