A Fianna Fáil Senator has called for RTE to be dismantled and described as "chilling" an interview between broadcaster Ray Darcy and Amnesty's Colm O'Gorman in which access to abortion was discussed.

A controversial senator, who quit Fianna Fáil over his opposition to adoption by same-sex couples, has claimed some gay people believe marriage equality funding would be better spent on HIV tests for the community.

A former Fianna Fáil Senator says taxpayers money being spent on the marriage equality and Presidential voting age referendums would be better spent on HIV testing for gay people.
