Only five months after Jack O’Driscoll was left paralysed in a freak accident during Storm Emma, the Corkman already has his sights set on returning to sport as a paralympian.

A young man who was paralysed from the chest down after he fell while out in the snow with friends earlier this year is determined to return to his native Cork in the next few months following the completion of his treatment at the National Rehabilitation Hospital.

A 19-YEAR-OLD sports fanatic, who became paralysed from the chest down after a freak accident during Storm Emma, is hoping to regain movement in his arms and chest in the months ahead all thanks to the financial help of friends, family and the public.

More than €50,000 has been raised in under 18 hours for a young Cork teenager who was severely injured during Storm Emma in March.
