Irish athlete Ciaran O’Lionaird has failed to progress to the 1500m final at the World Indoor Track and Field Championships in Istanbul.

Ciarán O’Liornad’s indoor season has been an extension of last year’s outdoor form which resulted in a fine performance in the 1500 meters Final at the World Outdoor Championships in Daegu.

This weekend's World Indoor Track and Field Championships in Istanbul are surely going to whet the appetite in terms of what lies ahead for the rest of the year.
