Sinn Féin and the Democratic Unionist Party have both expressed concern about the possibility of violence at two contentious Orange parades this weekend.

Police have used water cannons to break up a nationalist riot following a controversial Protestant Orange Order parade in west Belfast.

The first seriously contentious parade of this year’s loyalist marching season takes place later today in north Belfast.
