The start of the Scottish Football League was thrown into chaos tonight after Livingston refused to play tomorrow’s Irn-Bru Third Division fixture against East Stirlingshire.

Derry City manager Stephen Kenny has hit out at Gretna’s rapid rise through Scottish football by insisting: “We’re the real fairytale club.”
