The man accused of being the British Army’s most prized spy at the heart of the IRA had been repeatedly warned by police in Belfast that his life is in danger, he claimed today.

A British High Court bid to force Northern Ireland minister Jane Kennedy to face a cross-examination from lawyers over the Stakeknife affair was rejected today.

THE leaked reports on the Stakeknife affair were intended to destabilise the Northern Ireland peace process, Foreign Affairs Minister Brian Cowen said last night.
