The final report into the multibillion-euro Project Eagle scandal is set to be published within two weeks and will include damning findings against Finance Minister Michael Noonan.

The Public Accounts Committee’s report in Project Eagle has found it was not appropriate to give preferential treatment to any organisations engaged in the final stages of a bidding process for the purchase of assets owned by the State, or involved in a tendering process under public procurement.

Northern Ireland deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has insisted he had “no involvement” in the appointment of businessman Frank Cushnahan to a Nama advisory group linked to Project Eagle.
