Michael O’Leary’s Gigginstown House Stud have removed their appeal to the Irish Turf Club against the penalty imposed for the late withdrawal of Devils Bride at Fairyhouse on November 20.

Owners Gigginstown House Stud have been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Irish Turf Club in relation to the late withdrawal of Road To Riches at Cork on November 3.

A fall with Moonshine Lad at the second last hurdle denied Paul Carberry a comeback treble in Fairyhouse yesterday.

Trainer Dermot Weld described the performance as “very satisfactory” after Waaheb, off the track since the 2011 Punchestown Festival, justified 8/13 favouritism in the Premier Jump Weekend Hurdle at Fairyhouse yesterday.

Off the track since April of last year, Waaheb will be expected to make a successful start over hurdles in the Premier Jump Weekend Hurdle in Fairyhouse today.
