THIRTEEN Romanian nationals, including a juvenile, were arrested yesterday as part of an ongoing crackdown on organised theft in Dublin city centre.

A pregnant 17-year-old girl who was arrested last week as part of “Operation Hawkeye”, a Garda crackdown on so-called distraction thefts from people at ATMs, has been remanded in custody pending sentence.

GARDAÍ in Dublin believe they may have cracked a gang of Romanian criminals who have targeted people queuing at ATM machines outside banks over the past few months.
