ENGINEERS have installed massive piles into the bed of the river Lee to support a €250,000 pontoon which will allow leisure craft berth in the city centre.

A NEW permanent pontoon will be built in the Port of Cork within weeks to facilitate the arrival of the round-the-world yacht race.
