Niall Carew has reinvented Sligo. The Kildare native experiences his first Connacht final tomorrow at Hyde Park, as the county renews rivalries with Mayo, three years after losing narrowly to their neighbours in the decider at the Roscommon venue.

MAYO captain Alan Dillon has targeted a win in Croke Park as the next step in Mayo’s path back from the edge of the abyss in London and is looking to the county’s younger generation to provide the required impetus.
