WITH the first round of games having taken place, this weekend’s matches in the AIB All-Ireland Junior Round Robin series will take on extra significance as the sides will have a clearer idea what effect the result will have on their senior aspirations.

THREE more finals will be decided this weekend, the second last of the season, with the last of the provincial competitions being decided at Thomond Park when Garryowen face Thurles for the second successive week in the final of the Munster Junior Two League.

NENAGH ORMOND begin the defence of their Heineken Munster Junior Cup title with a visit to Clifford Park to take on Young Munster, while Cork Constitution face Ballincollig in the other outstanding second round tie of the weekend.
