Tommy Barker, property editor, assesses the appetite for property in West Cork

Instead of the Red Chair, two armchairs upholstered in a suitably-episcopal purple hosted the action when entertainer, broadcaster and writer Graham Norton did his star turn with a real life  bishop, at West Cork's  Bantry Literary Festival Friday night.

FOR many people getting out the kitchen for a couple of weeks is the sweetest part of a holiday — well away from the tyranny of having to cook every day. Of course, I love eating out but I also love to cook particularly when I am in a place where the food and culture is different.
