It was "fair and reasonable" to publish an article stating officers of the Criminal Assets Bureau called to solicitor Gerald Kean’s Dublin office as part of the bureau's probe into the Kinahan crime gang, journalist Michael O’Toole has told a High Court jury.

Four men have been charged with conspiracy to murder after being arrested in Dublin last week as part of a major operation by gardaí investigating the ongoing Hutch-Kinahan feud.

Gardaí have intervened in more than 30 potential murders since the Regency Hotel attack late last summer.

The 35-year-old father of one was shot dead last year - in a killing that is believed to be linked to the Hutch-Kinahan feud.

An 18-year-old man has been sent forward for trial to the Special Criminal Court after he was charged with the murder of David ‘Daithi’ Douglas who was shot dead on a Dublin street last year.
