A fifth victory in a row by Sergiu Ciobanu of Clonliffe Harriers in the men’s race in and a course record winning time of 54:20 by Maria McCambridge of Dundrum South Dublin Athletic Club were the highlight performances at yesterday’s annual Ballycotton 10 mile in East Cork — the 38th running of this Irish road classic.

Some 12,000 people took to the start-line as Ireland's fastest growing road race, the Barringtons Hospital Great Limerick Run, attracted record participants and crowds to the streets of Limerick.

Desperate Housewives star, Marcia Cross, gained 65 pounds when she was pregnant with her twin daughters, Savannah and Eden, and she was due back on the set within five months — so Cross worked out three to five days a week at LA’s Burn 60 gym.
