Tall tales abound about Puck Fair, many of which have been enhanced and enlivened in the telling down the decades.

A straight-horned, long-necked, goat of the ancient kind has been “coaxed” to be this year’s King Puck.

Only the fearless, the strong, and the nimble-footed are wanted for a key operation on the Kerry mountains in late July each year.

By order of King Puck, royals around the world are being invited to Kerry.
