Aidan O’Brien won the Irish Stallion Farms 2-Y-0, the first juvenile event of the season over a mile, for the fifth consecutive season when King George River triumphed in Gowran Park last night, providing jockey Colm O’Donoghue with the second leg of a double.

SIXTH in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and narrowly beaten at listed level, the John Oxx trained Zabarajad scraped home to land odds of 30/100 in the opening Bennettsbridge Maiden at Gowran Park last night.

JIM BOLGER took the training honours at Gowran Park last night, registering a double with favourite Scandal Sheet in the featured Kilkenny Handicap and Maoi in the opening Bennettsbridge Maiden.
