A dramatic finish to the Sean Conlon Memorial Rally in Mitchelstown resulted in a fine victory for Brian Murphy and co driver Joe Downey (Subaru Impreza), who reeled in early leaders John McCarthy/Dan Maguire (Toyota Corolla WRC) on the penultimate stage.

One of the oldest rallies in Europe, the Cork '20' International Rally has secured its first overall sponsor for almost 10 years.

Cork driver, Michael Keohane, finished fifth in today’s eleventh round of the Avon Tyres British Formula 3 Championship at Silverstone, where race officials disqualified Robbie Kerr, who took the chequered flag.
