Millions of euro are expected to be spent by visitors who will arrive in Cork in July to watch what is regarded as one of the world’s premier sailing events.

The world’s oldest yacht club is on the crest of a wave after winning two top marine industry gongs.

HIGH winds and high rollers dominated the fifth day of Cork Week 2010 at Crosshaven yesterday, with as much excitement on land as offshore.

CORK WEEK chairman Peter Deasy said he is pleased with the level of support for the bi-annual regatta and is also looking forward to welcoming more yachts and crew in July.
