THE three daughters of one of Ireland’s greatest composers were presented with a birthday cake yesterday to mark the centenary of their father’s birth.

THE family of a legendary composer who taught music at University College Cork (UCC) over five decades has asked An Post to issue a stamp to commemorate the centenary of his birth.
