HOCKEY fans in Cork are spoilt for choice this weekend as eight of the country’s top sides do battle on Leeside in round three of the Irish Hockey League.

MUNSTER DUO Eimear Cregan and John Jermyn were amongst the winners at Saturday’s ESB Dawson Travel Irish Hockey Awards in Dublin.

THEY might be recognised as one of the best sides in Ireland at the moment, but Cork Harlequins have never won the Irish Senior Cup.

Today is the biggest day of the year in the Club Championships as both the All Ireland hurling and football titles are decided at Croke Park.
