Irish cycling legend Sean Kelly is to be honoured with a hall of fame sporting award in Co Tipperary this weekend, it emerged today.

THE annual Canon Hayes National Sports Awards in Tipperary will incorporate a new category this year in memory of the late international rugby player and coach, Mick Doyle.

THE OUTSTANDING success of the Special Olympic Summer Games will be marked at the annual Canon Hayes National Sports Awards in Tipperary on Friday night when a special award will be made to the leader of the organising team, Mary Davis, and Special Olympics Team Ireland.
