The European Union saw an additional 800,000 hectares of certified organic land in 2017, according to the latest figures announced at the world’s largest organic trade fair Biofach last week.

Twelve Irish food and drink companies have been participating at BioFach 2013 this week, the world’s largest organic food fair in Nuremberg, Germany.

WITH more than 2,500international exhibitors present at last week’s organic fair in Nuremberg, Germany, it would be easy to assume the whole world had gone over to ecofriendly production of food, alcohol, wines, teas and a host of other products including organically produced toilet cleaners and soap powders.
