British number one Tim Henman has won the Australian Hardcourt Championship in Adelaide after beating Mark Philipoussis 2-1 in the final this morning.

Former world number one Pete Sampras crashed out in the first round of the Australian Hardcourt Championship when going down 3-6 6-4 6-4 to fellow American veteran Todd Martin in Adelaide.
