Laois were without the services of former AFL player Colm Begley as the O'Moore men opened the 2010 O'Byrne Cup with a 2-9 to 1-9 win over DIT at Graiguecullen tonight.

The inclement weather has forced the GAA's Leinster Council to move two of the fixtures in this weekend's opening round of the O'Byrne Cup to other venues.

A statement this morning from the Leinster Council has confirmed that all eight of the 2010 O'Byrne Cup first round matches, which were due to take place over Saturday and Sunday, have been postponed.
