After months of physical and psychological preparation, it was M-day today for up to 9,000 men and women who took part in the Cork City Marathon.

Major traffic restrictions will be in operation on Bank Holiday Monday as more than 9,000 competitors take to the streets in the annual Cork City Marathon.
