The barrister for a Dublin man, who strangled his ex-girlfriend in a city hotel, has said that the totality of the evidence supported his client having a mental disorder.

A consultant psychiatrist has accepted it’s entirely possible a Dublin man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend intended to kill her.

A 31-year-old man has appeared in court in Dublin charged with the murder of Sonia Blount at a hotel in Tallaght two days ago.
