Erlkonig benefited from a patient and well-executed ride from Danny Mullins when causing a 16-1 upset in the Bunkers Bar and Restaurant Killorglin Handicap Hurdle on day three at Killarney.

Danny Mullins proved the undoubted star of last night’s jumps action in Wexford, completing a superb 41/1 treble on Last Encounter, Ballinaboola Prince and Moonunderwater.

Willie Mullins enjoyed a clean sweep of the Grade 1 events on the opening day of the Punchestown Festival, but some second-string representatives were called upon to help deliver the treble in front of a record opening-day crowd of 20,214.
