Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin wants a month set aside for extensive Dáil reform before talks to form a new Government begin.

The Constitutional Convention has recommended that the role of the Ceann Comhairle be bolstered and that election to the post be by secret ballot.

Reform of the Dail is being discussed by the Convention on the Constitution this weekend.
