Fuel shortages and negligence caused a plane crash that killed 71 people in 2016, including most members of Brazilian football team Chapecoense, Colombian authorities have concluded.

Chapecoense have achieved their best ever position in the Brazilian league, one year after a plane crash killed all but three of their squad.

Plane crash survivor Alan Ruschel will play for Chapecoense in a pre-season friendly against Barcelona.

Nacional had asked for the title to be awarded to Chapecoense in tribute to the victims of the crash.
