A Limerick biker was sentenced to life imprisonment today for murdering a member of a rival motorcycle club in a territorial dispute, writes Eoin Reynolds.

Almost one third of bikers involved in fatal road accidents had been drinking, research has found.

About 170 members of rival motorcycle gangs have been charged with engaging in organised crime following a shootout at a Texas restaurant in which nine people were killed and 18 injured.
